Revolutionary Clan

Revolutionary Clan Website

Revolutionary Clan is the most unique music band out there. The band is handled by "Enoma".

Revolutionary Clan is a freelance "online" band created to promote new artists and spread strong messages embedded into powerfully soulful lyrics.

Revolutionary Clan is the only music band in the world which has no genre and only offers digital downloads. There is no possibility of giving a genre to our band since we embed almost every musical style and genre under the sun, into our varied songs.

An experimental audacity stems from a
splurge of inspiration. - Revolutionary Clan

The reason Revolutionary Clan stands out amongst the thousands of bands out there is because on our maiden album we do not sing our lyrics, all songs are instrumental songs with the lyrics running on the screen.

In other words, the music has been created as per the lyrics but the lyrics are rarely sung.

The listeners can sing along to the lyrics and move to the matching tunes, as if in a karoake environment.

Needless to say, to pull this one off, we need to have catchy instrumentals accompanying the lyrics on the screen. Lyrics are the most important aspect of Revolutionary Clan, and always will be.

Just one look at the lyrics of the songs, and repeated listens of the addictive tunes, and you'll know exactly why this band comes from another planet.

The next album will have these same songs along with singing by talented "indie" singers out there. If you are one such singer who wants to be part of this wonderful project then make sure you get in touch with us soon.

We are a band that loves our environment, and does not want plastic, papers, metals, and more wasted to produce our CDs. Revolutionary Clan offers only digital music, with no exceptions. If you are looking for something else then you are on the wrong website.

Read the lyrics to the songs titled Why Vote and The Parrot Song to get an idea about the uniqueness of this clan.

The group has also been named the "Revolutionary Clan" based on the strong lyrics reflected in the songs with varied tunes rendering them to a global audience.

Another strange (yet welcoming) aspect of Revolutionary Clan is that there are no faces shown in the music videos. Lyrics are the superstars in our songs.

All music videos are simple slidehows of the lyrics playing on the screen along with the music in the background.

What's more, we cannot go on tour because of the unique sounds of the band and the "freelance" band members.

Revolutionary Clan has been kept a secret thus far. There are no mentions on Wikipedia, nor too much information about us online. We pride ourselves for keeping our clan a secret, away from the prying eyes of the crazy world out there.

The only people that will ever hear about our clan are our fans. We plan to keep it that way till July 2012, the proposed release date of our maiden album. Our songs are just worth too much to leak them to the whole world just yet.

Revolutionary Clan has just one permanent clan member, who is Savio DSilva. The remaining group members are freelance talent hired as per the demands of an individual song.

Race, age, gender and other biases have no place here. Revolutionary Clan markets itself, and does not care about the color of your skin, or how you look. All we care about is whether our messages are reaching the willing ears of our listeners or not.

Another thing that we care about is our freelancers and their passionate involvement in their project.

Revolutionary Clan has redefined the formula for determining the worth of a band. Where everyone else measures the wealth of a clan by the letters PCI (Per Capita Income), here at Revolutionary Clan we measure the wealth of our clan by the letters PCS (Per Capita Satisfaction). If you ain't satisfied, then it ain't worth it!

Revolutionary Clan does not advertise itself in any way or form on other websites. The only ads you will see, are those seeking talented musicians for our songs.

What is more fascinating is that Savio DSilva's primary role in Revolutionary Clan is that of a writer / DJ. He usually writes and mixes the songs and someone else does the music. (More About Savio DSilva)

You may not like Revolutionary Clan at first, but once you understand the lyrics, and absorb her meaning into your brain, then you will find it hard to "move" forward to the next track on your playlist.

Sounds seem different, tunes are fresh, musical arrangements are amazingly simple, lyrics are impact-fully strong, and the overall feel when listening to a Revolutionary Clan song is that of listening to a rapping orchestra compacted into a musician or two.

Every song of Revolutionary Clan is completely different in sound from the earlier one. Some songs are a mix of hip-hop and country, while others are a mix of house and gospel, and there is a track like a child's nursery rhyme. You never know what to expect when you have guys as experienced and knowing as Savio DSilva leading the clan.

Revolutionary Clan Needs You

Revolutionary Clan is currently busy composing the first few songs for our first few singles set to release online soon. Revolutionary Clan has vowed to add in different instruments blended into the track in a smooth (or not so smooth) flow in each of the songs.

The name of the first album has been passively declared as "Freelance Revolution 11". The desired date of online release is somewhere in July 2012. The "11" has been added to denote the total number of songs on the album.

Revolutionary Clan is ardently looking out for raw sounds via voices, talented artists, varied musicians, and able singers to lend their soulful voices and give meaningful tunes to our existing lyrics.

We need over a hundred clan members on a freelance basis. Below, is a partial list of some of whom we require for our upcoming songs....

All Kinds Of Musicians, Female And Male Singers In Any Genre, Guitarists, Piano Players, Rappers, Whistlers, Hummers, Harp Players, Violonists, Choirs, Sitar Players, Drummers, DJs, etc.

If you are genuinely interested in furthering your talents by reaching a new genre of fans then email us a demo (in MP3 format) of a tune playing the instruments you play.

The easiest part of being part of our clan is that you do not even have to leave your home, or rent out an expensive recording studio. Just play "n" record at your own computer, and send it to us in MP3 format.

Once you are selected by us for a song, the lyrics of that song are emailed to you, to make the job of playing the music even simpler. The recorded MP3 you send us will then be remastered to finalize the song.

Usually a ready tune is also emailed to you, or the kind of music we expect is shared, and then we leave it to the talent in you to do the rest.

There are no illogical or extensive contracts. You just need to fill up a membership form online, submit a photo and any ID of yourself, and you are good to go.

As a freelance clan member, you are free to do your own thing, or play your own music outside the clan. Your stint with us does not extend beyond your gig with the clan.

Usually, you are needed for just 1 song, and the entire recording experience takes just an hour of your time. Also, as mentioned earlier, you do not need to leave your home for this. It's our job to make you sound good when we remaster your tunes.

If only the recording companies and other bands reading this, right now, would make our lives so simple!

Kindly note that singers and musicians are not paid at the start for lending their music to a track of the Revolutionary Clan. Instead, the artist will be listed down as a share holder in Revolutionary Clan.

He / she will earn up to 60% of each downloaded song they have contributed to. So, if there are 2 talents featured on a song and the song download cost is $2 then each member will get $0.60 as their profits per single. 1000 downloads of your single and you make $600.

He / She will also enjoy a clear mention as the musician on the track that they are part off.

Our freelance clan members are promoted to thousands of our site visitors and fans for free, and can showcase their "solo" talents on our website as well.

Don't expect instant fame or money though. We have just started off (January 2012) and it will probably be a good year before we see any "real" fame or cash coming in.

And, please do not join us as a freelance artist if your sole objective is to make money with Revolutionary Clan.

Revolutionary Clan can definitely offer you a terrific chance, a golden opportunity, and a measured degree of fame. Songs and videos will reach thousands, and your name will be etched down into the history books of this website and in the personal journal of Revolutionary Clan.

If you are purely interested in monetary benefits from Revolutionary Clan then we strongly suggest you visit Google and do a search for such an outfit.

Revolutionary Clan seeks music that belong to passionately charged human beings. We desire to be different and want musicians that can display that difference with their varied sounds and musical instruments.

Right now, we are mainly looking out for unique musicians, cool rappers, guitarists, soothing voices, whistlers, enigmatic vocals, hummers and anything else that's different and crazy!

Feel you are ready to join the Revolutionary Clan as a freelance artist? Email us a demo of yourself playing your instrument for a minute. Email us your MP3 Demo on speak((@))enoma.com

How Revolutionary Clan Was Created

Savio DSilva has been working on a freelance basis in the recording industry and on live shows (as a DJ) since he was 11 years old. Today he is involved in 12 different fields and all at the same time, usually in a single year.

When he was in 2nd Grade, he was told to write an Essay about what he will be when he grows up. During the recital of the first few lines of his essay in the class he was laughed at by every single student, and when he turned to the teacher for some comfort, he found her laughing too.

What was it, that was so funny he wondered. The answer came to him when he reached home and discussed the same with his grandfather. He was laughed at, during his reading of his very first line, because he said "When I grow up I want to be 15 different things in my career. I want to be a teacher, a cook, a singer, a DJ, etc. etc. etc.".

Today, as an adult, he has been in 13 of those 15 mentioned fields, and with reasonable success in most. The others who believe that they can do just one single thing in their lives are probably doing something else.

His concepts were extremely mature for his age, so much so, that he was suspended from his school, college and workplace for his "different" views on life and stuff.

At 11, he started writing pulsating letters dedicating songs to help major artists climb higher on the charts. This job was done for 5 different record labels, and for 3 years. His sole aim was to form a band with the money he earned from this freelance job.

He was paid a pittance and was made to write letters and make phone calls requesting certain tracks (being promoted full throttle by the record label) to be played on the radio and on the music channels on TV.

During these gigs, he relaized that nothing is what it really seemed. He also learnt that almost every major artist manipulates his or her way to the top. The highlight of his work on those freelance gigs were the numerous conversations he overheard in the recording executives' plush offices.

Savio DSilva later went on to DJ at over 500 parties as a teenager. He was solemnly known as "DJ D" in those days. People would usually stand in line outside the places he played at, just to dance to his mixes. He even got by in life by selling (or gifting away) his mixes on tape to many a female fan.

Later, he would find himself involved in many different fields (he is a qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Sociologist, Cook and more), usually on a short term or freelance basis. It was then when he came up with the concept of Revolutionary Clan.

He stated that "If I can do so many different things at the same time, in a single year, without being attached to any company in contract then why can't others do the same."

His lifestyle of waking up when he wants, working whenever he feels like, and his passion for "freelance" projects always stood him apart from the crowd. His obese body frame helped him get noticed too. As he himself says "I'm lucky to be fat".

He wanted a band where he could spend time on the "music" only when he felt like, and he did not want the freelancers to be pressured too. Infact, he hopes that his lifestyle philosophies will rub off on his partners in crime, in the distant future.

In the world of musical collaborations today, Revolutionary Clan has found a wonderfully delightful way of offering their listeners an aggressive brand of soulful music by networking with talented musicians all over the world, where the only attachments founded, are emotional ones. There is no room for binding contracts or corporate junkies here!

Revolutionary Clan depends primarily on the power of a song's message and a soulful voice to reach thousands of active fans who appreciate and accept this brand of music with open arms.

Why does the Revolutionary Clan exist, if not to make some serious money in a highly welcoming music industry?

The answer is simple enough to be typed here in a few words - Revolutionary Clan is here to give you revolutionary songs, and to promote upcoming artists.

With every song guaranteed to be downloaded thousands of times, the results are that the freelance members of the clan gain a tremendous opportunity to showcase their musical skills for free.

As Savio himself states "Revolutionary Clan is not about me, it's about the messages we share with our audience, with the ignorant masses out there, who do not know that there is more to life than just what they see or hear."

A guy once asked him why he was being called part of an ignorant mass. The answer was revealed by a question and an answer posed by Savio to him. He asked this teen if he knew what was going on in the North-East part of his country today. The reply by the guy was that he had no clue. That's exactly how most of us live our lives - we have no clue about the things we don't even know we don't know.

Now, you will know. Welcome to the Revolutionary Clan......
